Our Rooms

Our guests describe us as "clean, quaint and comfortable".  We are not a commercial-type or "chain" motel.  We are a small family owned and operated motor inn with 12 rooms.  We are a non-smoking premises and no pets are allowed.  All rooms are on the ground floor where you can park right outside your room.  We want to get "back to the basics".  

Basic meaning:

• A comfortable bed to rest your head
• Private bath with vintage ceramic tile (some tubs are smaller than the norm and are classified as "shower baths")
• Windows that actually open so you can enjoy the shore breeze
• Individual heat/ac controlled thermostat
• A refrigerator to keep your favorite beverages cold
• Remote control color cable television to watch that special play-off game, an old movie or stay current with the news
• Comfortable chairs to sit in and catch up on your reading 
• A desk with antique Hitchcock chair so you can map out your day or sit and write a post card to a friend
• An alarm clock/radio so you don't oversleep (which could happen--one of our guests slept so well he got a late start to his day)   

All our rooms are appointed with colonial decor and each room has a wall mural depicting a colonial scene.  All this plus our friendly staff is what keeps our guests coming back.  

Don't confuse us with a chain--we don't have internet access, incoming phone service, hair dryers, ironing boards (however, hair dryers and iron and ironing boards are available upon request), coffee maker, or a continental breakfast.  We are just a small, friendly "basic" motor inn.  Come see for yourself,  you'll be pleasantly surprised.
