Old Saybrook, Connecticut is a lovely place to visit in New England. There are many area attractions close by, such as Mystic Aquarium and Seaport, The Essex Steam Train and Riverboat Ride (located in historic Essex), Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos, the Goodspeed and Ivoryton Playhouses, and plenty of outlet shopping. There are a variety of restaurants in the area, some within walking distance.
The Heritage Motor Inn has been family run for over 40 years and boasts a quiet, quaint, non-commercial atmosphere. We live here on the premises in the attached historical 1755 Nathaniel Bushnell house. We back up to a residential neighborhood where the Long Island Sound is a pleasant and safe ½ mile walk away. We are here to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Located in Old Saybrook, Connecticut, which is equidistant between New York City and Boston, Massachusetts, we are conveniently located on the Boston Post Road (US Route 1) at Exit 66 off Interstate Highway 95. In addition to the highway, Old Saybrook can be reached via rail through Amtrak daily and MetroNorth/Shoreline East Commuter Rail System weekdays. Hartford/Springfield's Bradley International Airport and Providence's T.F. Green International Airport service our area of New England. Car rental is available through several local rental agencies.
